As a black person growing up in a white environment, I have experienced cultural conflicts with my identity. My mother had me at the age of 15 in 1970. I was put into a foster care at the age of 3 months, and grew up in a white family. My natural mother went to America when I was 3 years old, and our communication has always been distant. This film documents my journey to America, to visit my natural mother for the first time, and explores multiple identities as I try and resolve the antagonisms within a `mother´ and `son´ relationship.

Als schwarze Person, aufgewachsen in einer weißen Umwelt, habe ich kulturelle Konflikte mit meiner Identität erfahren. Meine Mutter bekam mich 1970, als sie 15 Jahre alt war. Ich wurde in eine Pflegefamilie gegeben, als ich 3 Monate alt war, und wuchs in einer weißen Familie auf. Meine natürliche Mutter ist nach Amerika gegangen, als ich 3 Jahre alt war, und unsere Kommunikation ist immer distanziert gewesen. Dieser Film dokumen-tiert meine Reise nach Amerika, um meine natürliche Mutter zum ersten Mal zu be-suchen, und erforscht mehrfache Identi-täten, während ich versuche und es schaffe den Widerstreit innerhalb einer `Mutter´- und-`Sohn´-Beziehung zu lösen.
